Cyber Monday sales hit $733 million on this year according to market research. That was over a 20% increase in sales from last year. A large part of that growth related to sales that took place with big-box online stores such as Wal-Mart, Target, and of course Amazon.com.
Black Friday sales may be decreasing, but those sales are likely to be shifting from the big-box stores themselves to the big-box stores websites. Meanwhile, all those small websites that helped pave the way for the seasonal title with a sales to hit this year when Yahoo’s online services failed small retailers.
