Google News was caught sucking Zod this evening as they unwittingly ran a Chron.com article claiming that Hillary Clinton was seriously considering General Zod (from Kryptonian devastation and fame) as a running mate.
http://www.chron.com/…rsona.html
Zod was quoted as stating
"When I first came to your planet and demanded your homes, property and very lives, I didn’t know you were already doing so, willingly, with your own government. I can win no tribute from a bankrupted nation populated by feeble flag-waving plebians. In 2008 I shall restore your dignity and make you servants worthy of my rule. This new government shall become a tool of my oppression. Instead of hidden agendas and waffling policies, I offer you direct candor and brutal certainty. I only ask for your tribute, your lives, and your vote."
Enjoy your weekend, when you wake up on Monday the planet will probably be in the hands of Zod.
If you happen to catch something crazy on Google News enjoy. Its not really something to get terribly bent out of shape over, but can be funny to see something odd slip in from time to time, just snap a picture of it with Snagit or something and share! Send us you pictures of crazy stuff on Google News and you might win a free usb flash drive courtesy of Top10Tech.

Here are some tips posted and reposted over at Utterz for Titling and Tagging posts at Utterz, a service that I find invaluable for many reasons.
Here’s a list of ways RandyCorke
http://www.utterz.com/…rofile.php came up with a few months ago and are still just as invaluable now.
1. Put titles on all of your posts: providing a captivating title is THE BEST WAY to get people to view your Utter.
2. Add a picture or video when possible: the more pieces of content, the more likely your creation is to find appeal with the largest number of people.
3. Time your voice Utterz between 30 seconds and two minutes: once another member of our community establishes a connection with you, they’ll get used to your style of delivery, and look forward to your latest contributions.
4. State your Utterz handle at the beginning of your Utter: a lot of experienced Utterz users do this extremely well and it’s one of the reasons they’ve developed such expansive followings.
5. Cross-post to other sites: creating an Utter and pushing it out to other blogs/sites is a surefire way to increase traffic to your blogs/sites from search engines.
6. Find your style: one of the things we’ve come to most enjoy about Utterz is all of the little idiosyncratic details we share, some people are funny, others offer razor sharp insight, getting this across in your Utterz is a great way to connect with individuals in our Utterz community, as people with shared experiences and viewpoints.
7. Invite replies: an excellent way to invite replies is to ask a question, this follows the same reasoning as Tip #4.
8. Utter regularly: keep your friends and followers engaged with regular updates.
9. Reply to other people’s Utterz: nobody likes driving the wrong way down a one-way street, right?
10. Follow other people…

There you have it, some very good advice and practical too for bloggers that are using the Utterz service to gather information, communicate and network and then publish or republish out to many different locations on the web. Its a very useful place for getting writing ideas, developing a following, working out concepts and debating everything from politics, race, religion, love and everything in between. The only thing that I think we have not covered yet is the Polar Bear Club Events for 2009 and weight loss pills.

We were just talking about the place to go to find fonts, and of course stumbled upon a sister site, 1001 Winamp Skins . Now this site is not necessarily going to help you get a web project done, it won’t help your websites look better, but it at least might amuse you a bit while you listen to music doing all those things.
I tend to be a 2 or 3 skin type of guy, but if you wanted to get into a new Winamp skin on a regular basis, this would be the place to go.
They have skins on lots of themes. Some seem to be created by people doing this out of the goodness of their heart and some seem to be a little bit branded. It might make sense to get a skin that looks like your stereo system with the same brand and everything, or you may be really happy about your acne treatment or dermatologist or something and want to show off a clear faced winamp skin, or then again maybe you don’t.
Either way you can probably find what you are looking for here, and maybe even kick off a goofy conversation in your cubicle for 5-10 minutes before you have to re-apply your nose to the grind stone.
