MindMap of YouTube Video Download Software Tools
In this article I have mapped out a number of YouTube Video Download tools in MindManager and then snapped them into a swf file so that the map parts are clickable. I found the original list that I used for my mindmap source over at Mashable.
I then uploaded the swf file to the domain here and then put the basic code into this blog article using WindowsLiveWriter.
Next I’m hoping to find a WindowsLiveWriter Plugin that enables me to attach and upload swf files in one shot. Here I simply wanted to attempt a proof of concept one half step of the way towards my goal. In the mean time, I’m taking the long slow way through this just to insure I understand the steps and consequences, even though it feels like I’m stuck on an endless series of treadmills.
Note, one reason why I’m using flash instead of a mapped image with hotspots is due to a slightly better image quality using flash.
Update
So my first attempt to manually put the swf code failed.
Then I tried it again, but this time I only included the embed code and dropped all of the other code that I normally include when working with Dreamweaver.

you could also just publish MindManager maps on Mappio (mind map library)

Thanks alexu,
The difficulty isn’t in publishing a map. Pushing mindmap pictures onto the site is very easy. Plus, the purpose of this is to get the image published on ‘this site’ as opposed to sending my readers somewhere else.
But in this case, I’m specifically trying to insure that the image and all the hyperlinks associated with the topics are clickable from the same page where they are published.
The kicker is that I want to do all of this through windowslivewriter for publishing.

I’ve been using TubeSucker (above) a little bit more lately. I thought I would offer up a couple tips.
1. You may need to hit the refresh button to view your file lists with recently downloaded videos.
2. After you install the program, it will probably help if you restart Firefox or IE
3. Before you download a video, make sure that when you play it, you can hear sound in both left and right speakers
Separately, the Orbit downloader forces / requires you to restart both Firefox and IE during the installation, so do not start the install until you are ready to shut your browser windows down for this youtube video download tool.
