Windows Live Writer Beta 3 (aka v. 12.0.1277.0816) Released

Well following kind of rapidly on the heels of Beta 2, Windows Live Writer Beta 3 is out.  Its possible that the new beta came along so quickly, because the second beta was soooooo buggy.  (I’m writing this with Beta 2, writing before I’ve had a chance to take the Beta 3 for a spin and assuming that the Beta 3 is less buggy than the Beta 2, kind of like Windows 98, should have theoretically been less buggy than 95. . . . Yeah Right, those damn theories!

So if you want to check out the latest version, and I do recommend it (sight unseen) then head over to the Writer Zone and download the latest version.  I will and will install it as soon as I finish up some other works and shut down some other programs on my machine.  I’m looking forward to the day, when the publish button doesn’t delete my work.  Watching my work get deleted when I hit the publish button was kind of like downloading a colon cleanse solution with a fire hose.

A preview would seem to imply that the new version enables the insertion of video, but second look seems to indicate that it supports Microsoft Soapbox video, which is great, if you like Soapbox videos.  Personally, I like having access to all videos and don’t want to fuel a monopoly in that area at least (as I cough up some hypocriticism).
