I just ran into a funny little bug on Utterz today. I just happened to joke around and send a message to @
VerizonWireless only to discover that the user actually exists. (no idea if its the company or just a person) If its truly the company, then Verizon Wireless, you suck!
If its a person with no Verizon affiliation, you don’t suck, but I question your naming motivations.
Anyway, I thought I would block the user with the name VerizonWireless. After I hit the block button, it shows me as a follower of VerizonWireless!
The last thing in the world I want to do is be perceived as a follower of that terrible company (did I mention they ripped me off for over $500 this year and then an additional $150 when they couldn’t fix my account for problems they admitted to? Yeah, I probably did.
)
So in my quest to snarkily attack Verizon Wireless, I somehow was dumped into a box that could be perceived as an endorsement of the company that ripped me off. That’s the last thing I want, so I’d like to point this out to the Utterz team and ask that they reconsider their blocking functionality.

It would appear that just like the Native Americans in that picture, Bessie the fabulous yapping cow, may have gone the way of political correctness with this latest Utterz upgrade.
I didn’t notice it myself (just saw the bugs in the upgrade http://www.utterz.com/…Nzk5Mjg3NA ) but @MariAdkins astutely noticed that our favorite cow has disappeared(http://www.utterz.com/…Nzk5Mjg4NQ ).
I’m going to miss the old girl myself. I’m going to miss all the great puns, and conversation starters we had at bessie’s expense and at the expense of political correctness in deference to our Bovine cousins of the world.
As a person born with and continuing to have 3 nipples, I’m even going to miss Bessie’s bravery in displaying her multiple teets to the world, proud of her body, proud of her mutli-teeted appearance.
Her teets may not have been terribly sexy, but they brought us all together, they got us talking, they made us friends as we gathered together suckling at ear buds, blue tooth headsets, web cams, cameras, video cameras, microphones, and keyboards.
Bessie may not have been politically correct, and she may have inspired us to be less than politically correct at times as well, but she did bring some humanity to this social network. She got us to drop our guard a bit and be a little more human and even humane to each other in our conversations.
Her jovial sensibility may have even kept things considerate and light hearted here and on the internet where so many gangs and flame wars often abound in other networks.
Now that she’s gone, the place isn’t going to be quite the same. For us old timers on Utterz, we’ll have the memory of Bessie, but for new comers to Utterz, this is going to seem a lot more sterile.

Utterz is not likely to be anything like what you may have heard or been led to expect.
No one has really nailed its capability in a description yet, but I will give it a try here with a new acronym.
Utterz is possibly one of the first functional ASS MAAAPS on the internet. ASS MAAAPS is the acronym for All Source Social Media Accumulation, Analysis, and Publsihing System (ASS MAAAPS).
Frankly, I think you will find that there is not a nicer set of ASS MAAAPS anywhere else.
Basically, what you are looking at and playing with is a system that enables people to communicate from almost any source including but not limited to (sms, mms, cellular phone calls, landline phone calls, skype, voip, plus computer inputs including text, audio, video, or images uploaded or captured, and these can be posted individually or all at once together.
 |
| If you can model this device, I bet you could probably model anything from clothes, to seat belts, to isotoner gloves, to proactiv acne cream to sex toys. |
Once the input has been provided from any source, the user community at Utterz can independently decide to accumulate the information, analyze it, communicate with it in the form of replies (text, audio, video, or pictures) or even republish the information to almost anywhere on the net through a number of easy connections touching twitter, facebook, myspace, blogger and any other blogging tool you can think of for that matter and much much more enabling all of us to spread our knowledge with this giant ASS MAAAPS or social networking platform.
Plus, sometimes we even do this while taking a wild stab in the dark at a little humor.
ps - love your work!
