Beside Photoshop and Acrobat, my other Adobe favorite tool is Illustrator 13, better known as Illustrator CS3. The CS reflects its integration with the Adobe Creative Suite. It is available for both the Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows operating systems. It has been awhile since I used this program.
After 3 hrs of test driving it Illustrator CS 3, this Global360 Chief Architect likes its 3- dimensional capabilities that enable the user to extrude or revolve shapes to create simple 3D objects.
Some of the my favorite features of Illustrator are: Live Trace, Live Paint, a control palette and custom workspaces.
While the Live Trace feature allows the user to convert bitmap imagery into vector art, the Live Paint allows users more flexibility in applying color to objects, specifically those that overlap.
Another feature that I like is the Live Color. It provides tools for creating color harmonies based on color theory, and the ability to dynamically apply colors to selected objects and shift the tone of an entire illustration at one time. Remapping controls are also provided for reducing the numbers of colors in an artwork.

One of my favorite software productivity programs is Dragon NaturallySpeaking. It is a great a In a data intensive situation, I recommend the speech recognition software package produced by Nuance Communications for Windows PCs. It was among the first programs to make speech recognition practical on a PC.
What I love about NaturallySpeaking is the minimal visual interface where dictation appears in a floating small box as words are spoken, and when a pause for breath is taken, the program will essentially transcribe or paste the words into the location of the cursor. This box temporarily superimposes over other software programs.
What I like about it is that it no longer requires initial training. Another words, recognizing the speaker’s voice. Recently I was able to write a 1000 words essay that took me a flash over 7 minutes. In most cases, it would have taken me 25 minutes at a pace of 40 words per minute.
If you are working in a data intense data inputting setting, this Global360 Chief Architect highly recommends this software package.

One of my favorite backup software programs is the Norton Ghost from Symantec. Have used it to store data at various Supported media CDR/RW and DVD+-R/RW drives, USB and FireWire® (IEEE 1394) devices, and Iomega® Zip® and Jaz® drives. Enables the encryption of backups support for Maxtor external drives with Maxtor OneTouch™ buttons.
Used Norton’s Ghost to backup and restore of individual files.
My favorite features are the remote management and lights out restore. It is available in the consumer version.
