Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional: Another Essential Desktop Tool
July 13th, 2007 by Global360ChiefArchitect
As a project management consultant, this Global360 Chief Architect distributed many documents that requires it to be device independent and tamper proof
My favorite tool is Adobe Acrobat, It is reliable and Adobe keeps on improving it. Their latest update is Adobe Acrobat 8Professional.
What I like about Adobe Acrobat 8Professional is the improvement in how PDF documents are created. It also does a great job in managing document reviews and combining files from multiple applications into a single, polished PDF. Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional enables the user to save Adobe PDF files as MS Word documents. The password protection function is ok.
Regardless of my dislike for paperwork, this Chief Architect had to adapt to the needs of the clients.
I was able to streamline his data collection activities with Adobe PDF forms. What I like about that I easily created fillable forms for distribution by e-mail or on the web from scanned paper, Microsoft Word docs, or Excel spreadsheets.
As a security-conscious guy, I thought the password protection function is acceptable and its advanced document security and controls improved.
In future articles, will talk more about the features in Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional.
This Global360 Chief Architect recommends Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional as a Must have tool for everyone who distributes information.
