Some Bill Withers History

Yeah, this is a great song by Bill Withers originally. While some of the remakes have been tremendous, the original still sticks with me.

Not sure I’m going to lay around naked to it, but if you are looking to put on a good case of melancholy on a rainy day, this will definitely get you in the groove.

As a note of caution, you probably should only listen to it alone, if you are going to see the person you are missing the next day.

Here’s To The Atom Bomb (Alternate Take)

Man, I miss the Smashing Pumpkins. one of the most seminal groups while i was growing up, one of the most ingrained in my subconcious, the music still has a huge impact on me and the band still remains one of my absolute, all time, no holds barred, hands down favorites.

This is an alternate version of the song Here’s To The Atom Bomb which closed out the very secretively released MACHINA II/The Friends and Enemies of Popular Music the second half of the story being told on MACHINA/The Machines of God. I don’t caer what you say: MACHINA and Adore were two fantastic albums. (The original version of this song was a B-Side on the Try, Try, Try single, and is a bit more messy and noisy.)

good luck finding a physical copy of MACHINA II… it was printed largely out of spite and there were only 25 vinyls pressed. You can download it for free direct from the bands website however.

Weird Music Wednesday - Superman by Celi Bee

Looks like Superman was a popular person to sing about

Here’s Celi Bee with a Disco Superman Track

Something tells me that Celi Bee’s superman may not have flown around in blue tites and a red cape . . .

Weird Music Wednesday/Superman -Smallville

I became a fan of this show a couple years ago. I have noticed that WarnerBrothers breaks a lot of new albums on the individual show.

One of my favorites was Playing the Angel from Depeche Mode, which featured several songs off that album on a couple different episodes.

This is Remy Zero responsible for the theme song to the show.
